Devon County Council invite all stakeholders of Okehampton Primary School to share their views on the school's expression of interest to extend Special Educational Needs capacity for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan for Communication and Interaction . We believe this is a great opportunity for our school to further enhance provision for all of our children at the school focusing, in particular, on interaction and communication. The intentions within the resource base are to support the learners to overcome their barriers to learning, to be resilient and to be better able to cope and to be re-integrated into a mainstream setting in which they can achieve their potential.
The provision is in line with Devon’s Education Infrastructure Plan https://www.devon.gov.uk/planning/planning-policies/pupil-place-planning and the findings of the SEND Strategic Review http://devon.cc/sendreview2017
