Transition into Nursery questionnaire analysis 2013 to present day

Every year, the Head of Early Years, Mrs Stevens, asks the parents of the children who are starting in our Nursery the same set of questions.  Please see the table below for the responses from our parents and what we are doing as a result of this parental feedback.

We would like to thank all of our parents who have taken the time to respond to our questionnaires.

Analysis of results

You and your child found the Taster sessions useful and informative.

Sep 13 –  93% gave a positive response to this statement.

Jan 14 –  87% gave a positive response to this statement.

Sep 14 -   95% gave a positive response to this statement.

Sep 15 -  100% gave a positive response to this statement.

Sep 16:   88% gave a positive response to this statement.  There were 3 parents who disagreed.  Comments included that the parent would have liked an opportunity to leave their child for a short period before his actual first day, as well as having settling in sessions with parents.  This is a really good idea and we will include this opportunity in January 2017 for our new intake at transition time.

Sep 16 – 80% of parents gave a positive response to this statement.  3 parents disagreed and 2 parents strongly disagreed with this statement.  This is quite a surprising response as we have introduced a new Nursery Parent Handbook over the past year and parents now get more information than they have ever previously had about our routines and expectations in Nursery.  The Head of Early Years will follow this up with Nursery parents and talk to some individuals to ask what information they feel is missing or what else they would like to included in future years.
